Before the Dinosaurs: Gorgonopsids

During the Late Permian period, much of Pangaea was dominated by harsh environments and arid climates. Among the animals best-adapted to these conditions were the Gorgonopsids; sabre-toothed predators resembling a cross between a Smilodon and a Komodo Dragon. This video will dive into the paleobiology of these animals, as well as the conditions that led to their downfall. This is a reupload of a video from my old channel "Pangaea Productions." This video is part 3 of a 4-part series. The other videos are listed here: Part 1: https://youtu.be/SeMoN_DOqO0 Part 2: https://youtu.be/VU7M7J6b6As Part 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POJ5g5Z3qC4 Music: ► DIVKID - Dreamer ► Ambient Music - Calm Mood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiXAOeTxO_8 Music from YouTube Audio Library. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you to all the paleoartists who make videos like these possible. If I used your art in this video and did not credit it, that is because I was unable to find a credit. If this happened, please contact me and I will add a credit.
